Balloons over Horseshoe Bay

Each year, Horseshoe Bay is the host to the Balloons over Horseshoe Bay event. This is an awesome event to come out and see all kinds of cool hot air balloons in both the morning and evening. The event starts Friday March 25th and continues until Sunday April 27th.

Friday the event kicks off at 8pm with a Balloon Glow, essentially watching the balloons light up at night that shows the cool colors and designs of the creative balloons. They do offer tethered rides, but this is primarily a watching event.

The public event is held on Saturday March 26th at the Horseshoe Bay Ranch. Gates will open at 6:30 for the morning session. Tickets are $20 and will be good for both the morning and evening session. Gates open for the evening session at 4pm. The locals will advise you to come early for the balloons taking off and then come back in the evening for the balloon glow and live music.

This is really a great Horseshoe Bay event that is interesting for kids of all ages and families. The only thing to keep in mind is that the weather can be a huge factor in this event.
