Lake LBJ is so irresistible. Never enough swimming, boating, wake boarding and fishing. Just the most necessary break are allowed/considered/accepted. Food is one of them (and one of our favorites).
Some our guests prefer to stay at the lake house, relax, watch the famous Texas hill country sunsets, preparing their own food or enjoying a glass of their favorite beverage (hint: we have alot of famous award winning vineyards in the Texas hill country).
On the other hand, some of our guests are true foodies, always looking for some of the best restaurants in the ever-changing Austin food landscape. Given our little paradise in Horseshoe Bay is less than an hour drive from downtown Austin, it makes for the perfect little break.

Pizza time: Bufalina www.bufalinapizza.com never disappoints. This incredible pizza place has the best Neopolitan pizzas in Austin. Served from their wood oven oven, they come out perfect every time. Austin is beginning to catch on to their greatness, so be prepared to wait as they don't accept reservations. But definitely worth the wait.
Sushi: Uchi www.uchiaustin.com Your criteria for sushi will change forever after this experience. They have made their name through the most creative pairing foods that result in the most flavorful dishes. Some of our favorites are the machi cure and maguro sashimi and goat cheese. This place is well known and has been ranked as a top 5 sushi restaurant in America. Our only question is why this place is not always number 1?
Hamburgers: Hoppdoddy www.hopdoddy.com These are not your dad's hamburgers. Hopdoddy takes hamburgers to an all new level with their quality. Our favorite burger is the Primetime burger. This gem of a burger is made from Texas Akaushi beef, brie cheese, caramalized onions, truffle aioli, arugula and steak sauce. This just made us hungry typing this.
Ice cream - Amy's Ice Cream www.amysicecreams.com Who doesn't love ice cream? Ok, who doesn't love ice cream from Austin. This institution started in 1984 and has spread throughout Texas, must be pretty good, right? The best thing about Amy's are the staff who have special ways of making your perfect ice cream treat. Our favorite location is the Amy's on west Sixth Street (near the HQ of Wholefoods)
